In Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, one of the Zero Week Weekly Quests requires you to take out an adversary 5 seconds after sprinting while Chromed. As a result of Epic not wanting to give away the surprise of what happens when you sprint while chromed, we believe the language of this quest objective is extremely ambiguous. The problem is that if you try to sprint while Chromed, you transform into a blob. To finish this quest, you have to kill an enemy player 5 seconds after de-blobifying them.
Step 1: Look for a Chrome Splash
Since they are epic loot, they might be difficult to obtain and take some time to locate. A lot of chests should be looted, and keep an eye out for purple cylinders on the ground. You'll eventually locate some.
Step 2: Get Chromed before attempting to sprint.
Simply toss the Chrome Splash at your own feet, just like you would a Chug Splash, to Chrome yourself. When Chromed, attempting to sprint will cause you to become a Chrome blob.
Step 3: Locate and approach an opposing player.
Even if it comes with hazards, it can make sense to find an opponent before Chrome-fying oneself. To be honest, we were fortunate. We didn't know there was an enemy there until the Chrome effect wore off and the attacker came out of the bushes.
Step 4: De-blobify, then quickly eliminate the enemy player
By pushing in on the left stick if you're using a controller with the default set-up, you can de-blobify by pressing the button marked on the left of the screen. As an alternative, the Chrome effect lasts for 40 seconds and de-blobifies you after it expires. You have five seconds to defeat that foe when you de-blobify, so don't waste any time and start firing with your strongest weapon.
