Tips and strategies for how to play Salmon Run in Splatoon 3

Teamwork

Working as a team is our first piece of advice. In order to survive and defeat the Boss Salmonids, you should be cooperating with them even if you are not in a speech channel with them. To point everyone in the direction of the impending bosses and alert them when you have been splattered, use up and down on the d-pad. To resurrect fallen comrades, shoot them. Don't try to go off on your own. The first couple of waves are usually easy to handle, but the last wave can be very hard if the player is left alone and enemies attack.

Never stop delivering Golden Eggs

Salmon Run's main objective is to get golden eggs into the basket. You should always be striving to gather and deliver them. However, avoid doing anything that could put you in a terrible situation. Additionally, you may only carry one at a time. To save time, be careful to toss the eggs into the basket from a distance. Then, enter the swim form to get your ink back. You may occasionally encounter waves with turrets. During these rounds, make sure you collect golden eggs.

Know your role

You will be allocated one of four weapons to use in each round of Salmon Run before a random weapon switch occurs in the following wave. You should take a different approach to the level depending on your weapon. If you have the Roller, focus on covering the area and running over lesser adversaries if you have it. Avoid getting too close to the bigger adversaries because doing so will cause you to bounce off of them. These are your primary means of doing damage against boss salmonids and larger adversaries if you wield the Splattershot or dual version. They are generally rather competent and can hit them reliably from a short distance.

Do not engage in combat if you have been handed the Splat Charger. Instead, make an effort to keep yourself above everyone else. Additionally, against flying foes, this is your main line of protection. It's not as effective as a sniper you might find in a classic shooter game, but it can deal some serious damage to foes and can move through groups of foes. If you stay safe, you can also strike down comrades from a distance. Just always bear in mind the advantages and disadvantages of the weapon you have each round. There are various weapons you can obtain in the game mode.

Take care while using anything special

In contrast to the primary multiplayer game, Salmon Run does not allow you to replenish your special attack. Instead, you can only use it twice throughout the entire battle. Try to store these things for last or only use them under extreme circumstances. You should absolutely have these on hand for the big guy, especially if you are fighting a King Salmonid.
