Slime Rancher 2: How to get Ash

Where to Get Ash in Slime Rancher 2

Create an Incinerator at a vacant Ranch Plot at The Conservatory in Slime Rancher 2 to obtain Ash. Once one is set up, you must improve it with an ash trough. Simply throw extra objects or food into the incinerator to feed your Fire Slimes with the ash that is produced. At first appearance, an incinerator only appears to be a way to dispose of the extra stuff you have laying around. Although it serves this purpose, its primary purpose is to provide a shelter for fire slime. These slimes are unique creatures that can only survive under lava or smoky conditions. Additionally, they can only create fire plorts when they eat ash.

You can put your Fire Slime in the trough area once you have your incinerator and have upgraded it with the ash trough. They can live without ash, but you must burn stuff to maintain their generating power. Shoot additional produce, poultry, or vegetables into the incinerator's top section to create ash. As you burn stuff, you can see it accumulating in the trough. The ash will ultimately run out because of the fire slimes' consumption of it.

Ash is currently just present in the trough and cannot be removed with your vacuum. Wait for your fire slimes to consume it and produce plorts; they will do it naturally when they get hungry. Although fire slime can survive in the purely decorative magma pool, they won't lay eggs because there won't be any ash for them to eat.
