Modern Warfare 2: How to fix the Locked Custom Loadout Error

Before starting a multiplayer match in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you can customize your characters by using custom loadouts. Any weapons you bring with you can be modified, the perks can be swapped out, and you can decide what kind of awards you get based on your killstreaks. Some players are having trouble using custom loadouts, and are being locked out of them. What to do in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 if your custom loadouts are shut out is explained here.

Modern Warfare 2: How to fix the Locked Custom Loadout Error

What to do when locked out of custom loadouts in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

When you're barred from using custom loadouts, you can do one of two things. Ensuring your Modern Warfare 2 profile is level four is the first thing you should do. If not, you will need to play a few multiplayer games to advance up to level four. You shouldn't need too much time to finish this. It took us three Modern Warfare 2 games to achieve level 4, which gave us the option to change our loadouts. There weren't many choices accessible to us, though.

If you've already gotten to level 4, the next thing you need to do is restart Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and then reload the multiplayer mode. If your profile hit level four, there's a chance the game did not update correctly and you are unable to use this feature.

Make your way over to the Weapons page in the multiplayer menu and select the custom loadout tabs once you've successfully unlocked custom loadouts. All of the current loadout's weapons, tactical equipment, deadly equipment, perks, and field upgrades can be changed. As you advance in the game, you can construct more unique loadouts. We advise doing this after you have access to more weapons and gear.
