Modern Warfare 2: How to mute other players

When playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, you may want to disable the voice chat of other players in your party. These could be haphazard people you go out with when doing matchmaking on your own or with your buddies. While you don't want to completely turn off your sound, you do want to make sure that you can't hear anyone else in your multiplayer game. In the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there are two ways to mute other players. When you first join a multiplayer game, you have the option to muffle every participant in the lobby. You can quickly make this your default setting for the rest of the game to make sure you don't hear your teammates or even the players on the other team talking too much.

The second choice is to carry it out during your match. You can allow each participant in that game access to the scoreboard. You can select each player you want to mute for the remainder of the game by scrolling down the list. You can also select to silence every participant in the game in this section. If you didn't get a chance to accomplish this at the beginning of the game, you might want to do it now. If you want to disable this feature and enable voice chat again to hear everyone on your team, you can choose from either section.
