A new story mode called The Shadow of Rose is included in Resident Evil: Village's Winters' Expansion DLC pass. The game mode picks up where the main Village campaign left off, although it is set many years in the future and features a different protagonist. Shadow of Rose's campaign is much shorter than one for a mainline Resident Evil game because it isn't a full new entry in the series. You'll probably finish the new narrative mode quickly.
How long is Shadow of Rose?
The Shadow of Rose narrative mode will take you roughly 4 hours to finish, which is relatively quick even for an expansion DLC. The mode can essentially be completed in one sitting, making it the perfect game to play on Halloween. Rose Winters, Ethan's daughter from the main village campaign, is the main character in The Shadow of Rose. Ethan searches for Rose in a remote town after she is abducted as a baby.
Spoilers for Resident Evil: Village's main campaign, but Ethan gives his life at the game's conclusion to protect his kid. When Shadow of the Rose begins, Rose is a teenager who is constantly being watched. Rose possesses odd abilities and ties to Eveline, Resident Evil 7's main antagonist, as a result of what happened in the Village and Resident Evil 7. Monsters in the area will retaliate when Rose makes her body glow white. In the story mode, you will encounter new opponents and various new puzzles.
A new Mercenary mode called Additional Orders, which includes Lady Dimitrescu as one of three new playable characters, is also included in The Winters' Expansion for Village. The core tale of the village also has a third-person mode included in the expansion, giving players extra gameplay options. You won't be able to see Ethan's face, not even in third person. Every time you adjust the camera to try to see Ethan in front, the character model will turn away.
