Season 9 is prepared to provide the scares once more as Halloween approaches. The developers are going all out for the 2021 spectacular, from creepy map overhauls to a terrifying 'Nightmare' theme. Brush up on everything there is to know about CoD Mobile Season 9 before the next patch hits.
CoD Mobile Season 9: Release date and time
On Thursday, October 21 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET / 1 a.m. BST, the CoD Mobile Season 9 update will be released (October 22). You'll be able to hop right in and access all of the latest content as soon as the patch is released.
CoD Mobile Season 9 Nightmare theme
The Nightmare is destined to take over CoD Mobile as The Haunting takes over Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Because the Halloween theme is in full swing, the CoD Mobile Season 9 theme is a spooky one. Expect to see every part of CoD Mobile altered to deliver a Nightmare-inducing experience, from spooky skins to disturbing menus.
New maps for CoD Mobile Season 9
CoD Mobile Season 9 is bringing some new maps, just like the previous seasons. The first is Hovec Sawmill, a map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that has been ported to CoD Mobile. Multiple lanes, a combination of verticality, and options for both indoor and outdoor activities characterise this medium-sized map.
In keeping with the Halloween theme, the CoD Mobile version of Hovec Sawmill is set at night, so turn up the light. In CoD Mobile Season 9, the return of Halloween Standoff is next. While the initial map soon became a fan favourite, the annual Halloween makeover has become legendary.
Although CoD Mobile developers have promised "some new features" in this year's rendition of the map, Halloween Standoff is slated to function in the same way as previously. As soon as we learn of any new features or easter eggs, we'll post them here.
New weapons in CoD Mobile Season 9
For CoD Mobile's Season 9 update, two new weapons are on the way, and both should be familiar to veteran fans of the game. The Thumper is first, a lethal Grenade Launcher that has appeared in a number of mainline Call of Duty games. Getting a direct hit with a Thumper missile will almost always result in a single-shot kill.
Next, the Swordfish Tactical Rifle, a more recent addition to the mix in CoD Mobile Season 9, will be available soon. This vintage gun will be available at Tier 21 of the Season 9 Battle Pass. This four-round burst weapon made its debut in Black Ops 4, and despite its moderate rate of fire, it packs a punch.
Season 9 Battle Pass for Call of Duty Mobile
Season 9 will include another new Battle Pass, as gamers have grown to expect with each new season of Call of Duty Mobile. While specifics are still scant for the time being, we do have some preliminary information to work with.
The first news occurred on October 18 when developers revealed the addition of a new Operator Skill to the Battle Pass. The TAK 5 Operator Skill, earned at Tier 14, quickly restores full health to your whole squad and adds an extra 50 HP on top.
Furthermore, given the Halloween theme in CoD Mobile Season 9, it's safe to assume that the new Battle Pass will include a slew of spooky character skins. Once further details about the CoD Mobile Season 9 Battle Pass become available, we'll update this page with a full summary.
New CoD Mobile Battle Royale class in CoD Mobile Season 9
In CoD Mobile's battle royale playlist, be ready to soar over the skies. 'Pumped' is a brand-new class that grants your character a working jet pack in the Season 9 patch. You may jump into the air and reach new heights with the Power Jump Active Skill and the Pump Up Passive Skill. This not only improves your movement, but it also allows you to fire on foes from unexpected angles.
CoD Mobile Season 9 Trick or Treat event
A new CoD Mobile season wouldn't be complete without a new limited-time event. Season 9's latest mode is a trick-or-treat special, in keeping with the season's Halloween theme. All you have to do is "go door to door" over the internet, visiting your friends' rooms. You'll either be deceived or treated if you interact with them. You must complete "some in-game chore to collect your candy" if you land on a trick. If you're treated, however, you'll get access to the candy straight away. Every treat gives you event XP, which helps you move closer to unlocking each seasonal prize.
Season 9 of Call of Duty Mobile introduces a new multiplayer mode called Drop Zone.
Drop Zone, a new multiplayer experience for Call of Duty Mobile, is expected to launch in Season 9. Players must compete for possession of a specific Drop Zone that rotates across the map at all times. Teams can earn Scorestreaks that will drop in from above if they dominate the Drop Zone.
