Hawkeye Release Date, Trailer, Cast, and Everythings We Know

Hawkeye is back with his own Disney+ TV show, but he's not collaborating with the Avengers this time. Kate Bishop, who is played by Hailee Steinfeld, is his new sidekick. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) of Marvel Studios catches up with Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) after he assisted Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest of the crew in taking down Thanos in Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

The bow-and-arrow wielding hero — who made his film debut in 2011's Thor — is one of the only original members of the Avengers still alive, which means he'll be under a lot of pressure to protect Earth from whatever baddies may be lurking around the corner. One of them could possibly be a relative of the late Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who died in Avengers: Endgame.

When will the first season of Hawkeye be released?

On November 24, 2021, the next episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will premiere on Disney+. New episodes of Hawkeye may be released in weekly segments on the streaming site, similar to Wandavision and Loki.

On September 13, Disney+ released an official trailer for the next series. In the teaser, viewers get a sneak peek at the archer Avenger's upcoming adventure, which takes place during the most joyful time of the year: Christmas.

Hawkeye Cast

Jeremy Renner has played Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many years, and he will reprise his role in the Disney+ series. Hailee Steinfield will play his protege, Kate Bishop, in the film. Florence Pugh, who played Yelena Belova in Black Widow, will reprise her role, as will Vera Farmiga, Alaqua Cox, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, and Brian d'Arcy James.

What will the plot of Hawkeye be?

After Avengers: Endgame, Clint Barton — a.k.a. Hawkeye — will try to make up for lost time with his family in the latest MCU series. However, according to Disney's official synopsis, his vacation does not go as planned:

Former Avenger Clint Barton aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has a seemingly easy mission: return back to his family for Christmas in Marvel Studios' "Hawkeye," an original new series set in post-blip New York City. Hawkeye unwillingly links up with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a 22-year-old brilliant archer and his biggest admirer, to unravel a criminal plot when a threat from his past appears.

The show is also rumoured to be heavily based on Matt Fraction's, David Aja's, and numerous other artists' acclaimed 2012-2015 comic book series Hawkeye. According to Inverse, Lucky the Pizza Dog, a golden retriever that follows Clint and Kate on their excursions, is one of the characters from the comics who will appear in the show.

Yelena Belova will also appear in the series, but she will almost certainly be an adversary (in the beginning, at least). Yelena meets with Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine at Natasha Romanoff's (Black Widow) grave in the Black Widow post-credits sequence. Contessa then asks Yelena whether she wants to seek vengeance against the guy who killed Natasha, while showing her a photo of Clint. In case you missed it in Avengers: Endgame, Clint struggled to keep Natasha alive, but Yelena is unaware of this. As a result, there's a chance she'll be out to get him throughout the series.
