Star Wars Eclipse is a new game revealed by Quantic Dream
At the Game Awards, a new Star Wars game was announced. The game is called Star Wars Eclipse, and it appears to be set during the series' High Republic Era, which has been termed the "Golden Age of Jedi."
Star Wars Eclipse is a brand-new video game IP for the franchise, with no ties to previous installments. It's expected that new entrants will be an interactive cinematic experience in the vein of Quantic Dream's previous titles, such as Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain, and Beyond Two Souls.
"An intricately branching action-adventure game that can be experienced in various ways, and puts the destinies of numerous playable characters in your hands," according to the game's official trailer. This makes it even more probable that it will follow in the footsteps of previous Quantic games, albeit with a more action-oriented twist.
The game will take place in the Outer Rim and will contain never-before-seen Star Wars species and planets. Star Wars Eclipse, like a lot of Star Wars media, will focus on the political side of the universe from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
While we got a nice look at Eclipse in a cinematic, there are no clues on when it will be published or which systems it will be available on just yet. You may, however, stay up to speed on the game and any following news by visiting its official website and signing up for updates.
