Logan Paul admits $3.5m Pokemon box was actually fake

Logan Paul has admitted that his $3,500,000 package of Pokemon Cards from the "1st Edition Base Set" is a fake, just days after numerous notable collectors questioned its validity. Logan Paul revealed out his large collection of Pokemon Cards to his fans on Instagram in September 2020, which piqued the interest of millions of his fans. His message introduced his readers to the concept that the TCG is both art and a sound investment.

Paul said on December 5, 2021, that he had paid $3.5 million for a "one of a kind" case of 1st Edition Base Set Pokemon cards. At the moment, it was unclear what his strategy for the case was, but it rapidly took a turn when notable Pokemon TCG collectors startled the YouTuber when they joined together with proof that his box might not be genuine. Logan Paul has officially opened the package to see if it's real or not, and he has certified that it is not.

Logan Paul reported on January 13 that he had lost $3,500,000 after they opened the shipment and discovered bogus booster boxes. Logan had traveled to Chicago to meet with BBCE, the organization that had first verified the authenticity of the box. The BBCE staffer who authenticated it detailed the procedures he followed to sign off on the case in the video.

When they opened the package of allegedly Pokemon cards, however, they instantly saw something was incorrect. They chose to open one after comparing the contents to one of Logan's known real boxes.

"GI Joe cards?" Logan said as they understood what was included. Really? "Why couldn't they be something else?" you might wonder.

“I’m a super positive person, and I’ll always be the one to look at the bright side. I’m trying, but this is hard. It’s bad for the Pokemon community, but I’m grateful for the products that I do have. I just went from 11 boxes to five,” he explained.
