Lost Ark: How to unlock Fishing

Fishing is one of the six Trade Skills available in Ark: Survival Evolved. If you're exploring the land and need resources for crafting, or if you want to sell items on the market if other people are looking for them, you'll want to employ a Trade Skill. Fishing, like the other Trade Skills, will not be available right away. Here's everything you need to know about fishing in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

You must complete the main story and travel to West Luterra. You'll eventually obtain the Crown of Lakebar quest, and once you've completed it, your character will have access to all of the Trade Skills, including Fishing. However, before you can begin working on this Trade Skill, you must first purchase a fishing pole.

You'll need to keep an eye out for Fishing Spots if you want to go fishing. You'll be able to find them on your map by looking for the small fishing hook icon, which is usually adjacent to water. If you have a fishing pole and arrive at this region, you can use the Float Fishing skill to send out a lure and try to capture a fish.

The best way to achieve this is to add the Float Fishing ability to your toolbar by pressing the B key on your keyboard, which you can get from the Trade Skill menu by pressing the L key on your keyboard. Then it's a matter of waiting for a fish to appear and reeling it back to shore, but not too soon. Wait until the bobber is completely submerged.

Before traveling too far, be sure to get your starter Fishing Pole from Nickel in Lakebar Village.
