Lost Ark: How to unlock Hunting
Hunting is one of the six Trade Skills available to you as you progress through Raiders of the Lost Ark. Your character's Trade Skills allow you to collect and obtain unique materials that you wouldn't be able to locate otherwise. If you want to craft items in the future, you'll need to level these up. However, you will not have immediate access to them. In this article, we'll show you how to get Hunting in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Hunting, like all of the other Trade Skills in Raiders of the Lost Ark, will become available as you go through the story. You can find it and complete the quest Crown of Lakebar if you arrive in the West Luterra region. After completing the Crown of Lakebar quest, the character gains access to all six Trade Skills. If you want to use the Trade Skill tools, you'll need to get them from Nickel, a trader in Lakebar Village.
After obtaining the Novice Hunting Tool from Nickel, you can begin hunting down and harvesting some of the region's animals. Click the B key on your keyboard to access your Trade Skills abilities, and make sure the Throw and Search active skills are available before you try Hunting. If you wish to go hunting in a particular location, you'll need these.
Smaller animals are what you're looking for, and you can find them by looking at your World Map and seeing what creatures are available in the area. Spotted Rabbits and Plump Stormcloud Rabbits, for example, can be found in the Bilbrin Forest.
You wish to use your Throw ability to pitch an ability at the created, causing them to fall, after you've found the animal and used your Searchability. When they do, they should appear on the ground for you to Carve, and you can then extract the resources you need, such as meat and hide.
