Elden Ring: Where to find the Greatblade Phalanx sorcery
When it comes to ranged combat, Elden Ring's many sorceries can be highly effective. This is particularly true in the case of the Great blade Phalanx spell. You can use this technique to create a wave of magical greatswords that float above you before flying towards any surrounding adversaries. It's a good spacing weapon that can help you out when you're fighting a boss or competing in the game's competitive multiplayer. This sorcery may be found in Cuckoo's Evergaol, which is located in Liurnia's western region.
To get the sorcery, you must battle Carian Knight Bols, the boss inside the Evergaol. Thankfully, Bols isn't a particularly tough opponent. Not only does he have the same appearance as the monstrous Troll Knights, but his moveset is nearly identical as well. The most important thing to keep an eye out for is his Greatblade Phalanx move, which you may avoid by rolling as the magical blades approach you.
The major focus of your attack should be on his legs. Most of his melee attacks can be evaded by rolling beneath or behind him, therefore try to do so. If he tries to stomp on you, roll away from him and immediately slide back beneath him once he's finished.
You should ultimately stagger him if you keep chopping away at his ankles, giving you a chance to get a couple free blows in. You'll automatically get the Greatblade Phalanx sorcery once you defeat him.
