Sea of Thieves: How to get the Faster Chef Commendation

Despite how much fun fishing, hunting, and cooking may be in Sea of Thieves, one of the most irritating features of the game is that each ship only has one frying pan, regardless of its size. It takes some time to get your fish to that wonderful brown color, and you may have a lot of meat to sell at Hunter's Call. To help with this, each of the six Sea Forts — which were added in the Season Six update — contains four burners for you to cook on, as well as a Commendation.

Check your Pirate Log, Bilge Rats, and Sea Fort's sections for the Faster Chef Commendation, which says to "cook a supper utilizing all Sea Fort pans at the same time." You only have to do this once; there are no grades on this Commendation, and you can finish it quickly. Tossing four fish or chunks of raw animal flesh onto the stovetop is all you need.

When you first start a session, look up the nearest Sea Fort on your ship's map. You can cast your fishing line while sailing to the Sea Fort and capture some fish to cook later. However, you will face opposition upon your arrival, either from the Phantoms who currently possess it, or, very rarely, from players who have previously beaten you to it. As a result, any fish you capture along the journey should be stored in your ship's food barrel, as you'll need your personal inventory space to heal.

It's time to start cooking once you've vanquished a Sea Fort. If you don't have four pieces of meat yet, it's rather simple to go fishing — or, if you're feeling brave, kill some sharks. Have a full crew of four pirates ready to fish all at once. When you've had your fill of meat, return to the Sea Fort and turn left; the stove will be on the left side of the wall. To get the Faster Chef Commendation, toss raw fish or meat into all four of those pots. Once all four are sizzling at the same time, you've earned it.
