Elden Ring: What happens if you kill Kalé?

Kalé, a merchant at the Church of Elleh who will offer you a number of useful products early on in your quest, will be one of the first NPCs you'll meet in Elden Ring. Kalé, like other friendly NPCs, will not attack you until provoked, although you can still kill him. If you choose to kill Kalé in Elden Ring, this is what occurs.

When you tackle Kalé, he'll get angry, but he shouldn't put up much of a fight. During combat, he may attempt to mount his donkey, which is equally easily defeated. He'll drop the following items after you kill him:
  • 500 Runes
  • Kalé’s Bell Bearing
  • Finger Snap gesture

Should you kill Kalé?

Kalé's Bell Bearing is the only exclusive item you'll get if you kill him. Furthermore, the Bell Bearing's sole purpose is to unlock things previously available in Kalé's shop in the Twin Maiden Husks' shop.

We don't recommend murdering Kalé because of the low quantity of Runes you get for killing him and the fact that you can earn the Finger Snap gesture without killing him. Allow the merchant to live in peace and pay him a visit when you need something.
