Elden Ring: Where to find Crystal Bud and what it does

Elden Ring has a lot of different goods to craft, which means there are a lot of different materials to gather in the Lands Between. This is especially true when entering new territories for the first time, with unique settings including a diverse range of new plants, animals, and other creatures. When you finally make it through Stormveil Castle (or around it totally) and arrive in Liurnia of the Lakes, you can expect to find a wide variety of resources, including the magical Crystal Buds.

Crystal Bud can be found in a variety of locations throughout Liurnia of the Lakes, but it prefers to grow near trees and in shady areas in our experience. It's plentiful enough that you shouldn't have any trouble finding it while exploring normally. If you want to be sure where you're going, go to the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace, which is marked on the map above.

Simply turn left and head toward the Stormveil Castle walls from here. A Crystal Bud should be hidden behind a pair of trees. Just keep an eye out for the soft blue glow it emits. Gathering here will give at least one bud, but more is possible, especially if your Item Discovery stat is high.

You can use the magical abilities of Crystal Buds in crafting once you have some. Magic Grease may be used to improve your weapons, while Cuckoo Glintstones can be used to cast magic bolts. But keep in mind that you can only make these items once you have the required cookbooks.
