Back 4 Blood: How to drop weapon attachments
Back 4 Blood comes with a slew of additional features that its predecessor, Left 4 Dead, lacked. Back 4 Blood's enlarged list of weapons is one that stands out the most to us. Players can find and equip accessories to their guns to modify their shooting in addition to having more weapons. How can you drop attachments while you can drop all other stuff in the game?
Players can now easily drop attachments from their weapons as of the first expansion, Tunnels of Terror, although it will cost you some Copper. Previously, the only option to remove any attachments was to find another of the same type to replace them with. You may now unbolt them.
You must be in the safe room or have the Weaponsmith card active to unbolt a weapon's attachments. Select Unbolt Attachments underneath the gun in your inventory. You and your team can do this anywhere for 400 Copper if you have the Weaponsmith card. The price will be reduced by 100 Copper for each player who has the card active. If you don't have the Weaponsmith card, you can only do this for 500 Copper inside safe rooms.
After you've unbolted a weapon, you can go to your inventory and click Modify on it at any time, even if you're not in the safe room. The attachments can then be cycled through and dropped if you don't want them or wish to offer them to a colleague. However, you must pay the Copper cost for each weapon you wish to modify, so you may want to reconsider if it's a weapon you don't plan on keeping for a long time.
