Back 4 Blood: How to unbolt weapon attachments

Back 4 Blood didn't offer a means to remove attachments from your weapons unless you had something else to replace them until the Tunnels of Terror expansion. Turtle Rock has thankfully created a new mechanism to do this, however, it is not free. In Back 4 Blood, here's how to unbolt weapon attachments.

Unbolting attachments can be useful in two scenarios. Safe rooms will be the first and most prevalent occurrence. Bring up your inventory while in the safe room, and for 500 Copper, you can acquire the ability to unbolt your weapon attachments. Then, on your weapon, select Modify, and you may choose which attachments to drop to the ground. While you can only buy unbolting in the safe room, as long as you have the same weapon, you can remove those attachments later in the level without having to buy them again.

When you or a teammate uses the Weaponsmith card, you can unbolt attachments from your weapons for the second time. This card was released in conjunction with the expansion and allows you to unbolt attachments outside of the safe room for 400 Copper. If numerous Cleaners carry this card, the unbolting cost per person is reduced by 100 Copper.

Unfortunately, both of these scenarios will cost you, Copper, in order to be able to freely remove attachments. That said, we're relieved to finally be able to modify our weapons at a more convenient moment than only when a different item is available to replace them.
