MLB The Show 22: How to use the Companion App

Companion apps aren't as prevalent as they were a decade ago, but they still appear now and then, and they can be beneficial. While it isn't widely publicized, MLB The Show 22 has a companion app that may be useful if you enjoy playing Diamond Dynasty and keeping up with the game. Here's how to put it to good use. You can find the companion app by searching MLB The Show Companion App in the Google Play Store or the iOS Store, which is quite basic. Open the app after downloading it and sign in with either your PlayStation or Xbox account. The switch isn't listed there as of this writing, although that could change on release day.

When you check-in, you'll find article updates from Sony San Diego regarding the game on the top page. This will be updated on a regular basis with events and features that the development team would like to share with you. You'll be transported to the Pack Shop if you click on the bag icon. You can either open or buy new packs linked to your account here. At all times, the number of stubs you have is displayed in the top right corner of the screen.

The Community Market is the next icon, where you can check what Diamond Dynasty cards are available for sale. After looking at the details of a card, click the red menu button to create buy and sell orders. If you wish to buy that card right now, you'll see the current buy-now price.

You may manage your Diamond Dynasty Squads by clicking on the baseball diamond symbol. In the mode, here is essentially where you manage your lineups and pitching rotation. To set your lineup for when you play the game, press on each position to swap out cards for stronger ones you just bought. The app's final two icons are for notification settings and account settings. Check out these sections to see how often you'll be updated about what's going on with your Show account.
