MLB The Show 22: How to put on equipment

As you play and overcome numerous challenges, your ballplayer in MLB The Show 22 will gradually improve and mature as a player. While that is the most important factor in determining your performance, you can give little boosts to certain traits by equipping equipment cards obtained through packs and missions. In MLB The Show 22, here's how to equip your baseball player.

When you have the equipment to put on your ballplayer, go to the game's main menu and click your profile symbol. This will take you to your My Ballplayer screen, where you can examine their loadout and make changes to their other details. While you can modify Equipment in Appearance, this is purely cosmetic and will have no effect on your player's performance.

Instead, select the icon to the right of the person with the bat on their shoulder by clicking on Loadout. You can now examine each equipment slot and the cards you have earned over time from head to toe. If you require more, you can open packs, purchase them for Stubs on the Community Marketplace, or earn them through various quests and collections.

Every piece of equipment, like other cards, is classified by its rarity, with Diamond being the most valuable. Before you choose a piece, consider the benefits it provides and decide what is ideal for you.
