V Rising: How to get Copper
Do you want to learn how to obtain Copper in V Rising? Access to Copper is usually a turning point in crafting and survival games, as it allows you to build a wide range of updated tools and structures. V Rising is no exception, and you won't get very far unless you have a lot of Copper Ore to convert into Ingots. We'll show you where to find Copper rocks in V Rising in the sections below. We'll also go through what you'll need to mine Copper Ore, as well as how to refine it into significantly more useful Copper Ingots.
How to get Copper in V Rising
One of the most essential early materials in V Rising is copper. After bone tools, it's used to make the next tier of weapons and gear, as well as a variety of essential buildings and enhancements. Copper may be obtained by mining the orange-colored rocks that dot the V Rising environment. However, the Copper Mine in the Farbane Woods is the best place to go if you want the most Copper in the quickest amount of time.
This Copper Mine is full of orange rocks that may be mined for Copper Ore. There are many chests strewn about the mine that you can open to obtain a variety of goods, including additional Copper. Copper rocks regenerate over time, making it a renewable resource. You simply need to keep breaking them down until you obtain enough Copper for your requirements.
How to mine Copper
A Reinforced Bone Mace is required to mine Copper. Regular rocks can be broken down with a Bone Mace, but Copper rocks require something more powerful. You'll need to create a Simple Workbench before you can make the Reinforced Bone Mace. Both the Simple Workbench and the Reinforced Bone Mace require wooden planks, so if you're not sure where to get them, check out our V Rising Sawmill guide. If you come across some particularly massive Copper boulders, your Reinforced Bone Mace will not be able to break them apart. You'll need explosives to mine the large boulders, which you may make using Sulfur at an Alchemy Table.
How to Make Copper Ingots from Copper Ore
You'll need to build a Furnace near your Castle Heart to smelt Copper Ore. The Furnace takes 480 Stone and 60 Copper Ore to make, but after it's done, you can put Copper Ore inside it and it will turn it into refined Copper Ingots over time, which may be used for a variety of tasks. Keep in mind that accumulating a stockpile of Copper Ingots will take a lot of Copper Ore. Each ingot requires 20 Copper Ore. To speed up the process, I recommend visiting the Copper Mines listed above.
