Diablo Immortal: How to reduce controller lag

If you're playing Diablo Immortal, you might want to consider hooking up a controller and playing the game that way. While the game was designed to be played on a phone screen, constantly pressing the screen and having your fingers in your way can be tedious and uncomfortable. However, several players have reported significant delays and drift when using their controllers while playing. Here's how to play Diablo Immortal with less controller lag.

How to get rid of controller lag and drift in Diablo Immortal

To eliminate controller lag, first, check that your controller's batteries aren't nearly dead, and then connect it directly to your game if possible. Plug in a cord if you're on a PC, or use a phone controller like the Razer Kishi or Backbone One if you're on a phone. When your controller is connected, go into the Settings and make sure that controller mode is turned on. If you're using a PC, you should also go to the Graphics section of Settings. It has been claimed that turning off Vsync solved the problem for some people.

Unfortunately, there appear to be some early problems with Diablo Immortal's controllers, and the following are the only options we've found to improve speed. Even with these changes, many are having trouble using their controllers to play Diablo Immortal. If the experience is unplayable for you, we recommend switching to the original mode of play or waiting for an update.
