Sonic Origins: How to Unlock Hidden Palace Zone

With each new release, the legendary trio of mainline Sonic games for the Genesis/ Mega Drive has seen its fair share of tweaks and updates. What we know thus far about each game's build is that they're the most recent versions available, whether from mobile or PC ports. In Sonic 2, there was a lot of talk regarding the level Hidden Palace, which was canceled. The stage is now present in later remasters, including Origins. So that's how you get Hidden Palace in Sonic Origins unlocked.

How to Unlock Hidden Palace in Sonic Origins

Hidden Palace can be accessed in two ways: first, through playing the game, and second, by completing the Sound Test mode. Play Sonic the Hedgehog 2 until you reach the Mystic Cave Zone and Act 2 on a typical playing. Follow the standard way through the level, but stay on the lowest path. If you've ever played this game before, you'll know there's a renowned hole where you can't get out if you fall in.

Because the collapsible bridge you'd go across would seal you in beneath a deep pit with spikes at the bottom. You're stuck in there whether you played as Knuckles or Tails. The spikes have subsequently been removed in this version of Sonic 2, and they now serve as a secret entrance to the Hidden Palace Zone. Because you'll wind up in the Oil Ocean Zone after completing this level, it's more of an extension or alternate path to Mystic Cave Act 2.

It's a completely playable level with a variety of paths to discover. The music from the multiplayer version of Mystic Cave is also used in this Zone. You'll also face "Brass Eggman," a boss that's exclusively available at this level after you reach the conclusion. The Level Select code at the start of the game can also be used to get entrance to Hidden Palace. When Sonic and Tails appear on the title screen and you have the option to "Press Button" to begin, follow these instructions:

Up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left, right

A ringing sound should be heard if everything is done correctly. Simply press start to bring up the Sound Test / Level Select screen. You can then choose Hidden Palace at your leisure.
