Cuphead DLC: How to unlock Miss Chalice

The Delicious Last Course, a Cuphead expansion, is now available. On the new island, there are enemies that you can battle as well as allies. Here's how to add Miss Chalice to your roster as she finally joins Cuphead and Mugman as a playable character.

How to reach Inkwell Island IV in Cuphead DLC

Before Miss Chalice can be unlocked, you must enter the DLC area. You must first destroy the game's opening tomb to accomplish this. If you've already finished the game and are returning to it, you're probably okay to go. It won't take you long to reach the first tomb if you're beginning from scratch. To access the run-and-gun level Treetop Trouble, turn east from the Elder Kettle's home. Alternatively, turn south to engage in the boss battles for Botanic Panic and Clip Joint Calamity.

The mausoleum challenge is the same no matter which route you choose: keep Miss Chalice's spirit safe by fending off the spirits. When you accept his offer to take you to the DLC island, the ferryman (seen above at Inkwell Isle II) will appear. Every time you enter a map with a dock, he will make the same offer if you've already advanced far enough.

How to use Miss Chalice in Cuphead DLC

Miss Chalice herself will provide you with a new artifact when you reach Inkwell Isle IV: the Astral Cookie. You can command Miss Chalice by equipping this like any other relic. Miss Chalice has a unique set of abilities despite losing out on other benefits. She can double leap and has an extra HP point. Her parries operate differently as well; to perform the technique, an air dash into pink objects is required.

Miss Chalice also has a dodge roll, which she can do by ducking and pushing the dodge button simultaneously. This move even contains invincibility frames. If you maintain the Astral Cookie loaded, Miss Chalice is accessible throughout both The Delicious Last Course and the standard game.
