Sonic Origins: How to Get Coins Fast

Sonic Origins includes a currency that can be used to purchase new unlocks in the Museum Mode, such as music, art, and movies. If you're aiming for 100 percent completion in the game, it'll all help you get there. If you fail a Special Stage, you can use coins to retry it. They will be quite useful throughout the game. Here's how to obtain Coins in Sonic Origins quickly.

How to Get Coins Fast in Sonic Origins

There are a variety of ways to obtain Coins rapidly, therefore here are a few realistic options, followed by the greatest option.

Play Mission Mode

Mission Mode is one of the new game types that allows players to take on familiar territory in different ways across all games. Completing each mission will give you a rapid boost of Coins. Each time you complete a mission and get a first clear, you will earn more coins. Additionally, the better you perform, as evidenced by receiving A's and S's on assignments, the more Coins you will receive. You should have about enough cash to purchase out the entire Museum if you obtain S ranks on all of these!

Play Boss Rush Mode

Boss Rush is a more difficult way to pursue because you must defeat a series of Eggman's inventions all at once while only having three lives. Sonic CD is the easiest game to do this assignment with. Each boss is a little different in that there's an easy gimmick to get around. CD also offers you more rings than in previous games put up in this format.

Do the Launch Base trick

When playing Launch Base Zone in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, this is one of the oldest tricks in the book (Zone 6). You'll come across a purple and red security box early on in the level that will set off an alarm if you walk past it. When you set off this alarm, a seagull Badnik will fly towards you. This can be taken advantage of by holding a spin-dash while in the middle of this module. The alarm will repeatedly sound, summoning these Badniks who will simply fly into you and be beaten while you spin dash aimlessly. You will receive 1,000 points for each one you defeat. The longer you hold your dash, the more points you'll get from each enemy, up to 10,000 per kill.

A new life costs 50,000 points, yet in Origins, lives are limitless. Coins have been substituted for them. You can earn one coin in the same way you may gain an additional life. You get a Coin every time you hear the one-up jingle. The only restriction is that time can only be extended till 9:59 p.m.

The BEST Ways to Get Coins Fast in Sonic Origins

Listed below are two optimal ways to get coins fast in Sonic Origins.

Farm the Sonic 3 & Knuckles Critical Cargo mission

Unlock the 5-star task "Critical Cargo" by working your way through the Sonic 3 challenge roster. You must battle ten opponents, including RhinoBots and Bloominators, in this game. You're in a modified version of the bombing run shortly before fighting Eggman in Angel Island Act 2 in this scenario. Instead, the bombing plane will bring down the aforementioned foes. Instead, keep your hands on the ground while sprinting. Sonic will be in a spin-dashing state as a result of his continual movement. All of the adversaries will land straight in front of you as you spin, making it easy to take them out.

The only thing you have to be concerned about are the Bloominators' projectiles, which can knock you out of your spin-dash. If done successfully, you should be able to defeat 10 foes and score a goal in under 40 seconds, earning you an S rank and 20 Coins. During my testing, I consistently received 36-second times. I was able to run this mode around seven or eight times in five minutes by getting these times regularly. With eight successful S-rank runs, I was able to earn approximately 160 Coins in less than five minutes of gameplay. You'll need more than 160 Coins to retry the special stages in each Sonic game.

Sonic 2 Debug Mode Exploit

This is a faster way than the Critical Cargo farm. Begin Sonic the Hedgehog 2 by pressing the Start button. When the splash screen appears and Sonic and Tails appear at the bottom with the "Press Button" command, press the following directions in order:

Up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left, right.

You should hear a ring collecting sounds if everything is done correctly. Simply press the start button to enter the Level Select/Sound Test mode. Hover your mouse over the Sound Test option and play the following songs in the following order:

01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, 04

When you press the songs again, you may discover that they do not replay. Simply hit the play button one more time when you first play a song with the number to ensure you get two clicks in. If you typed everything correctly, you'll hear the ring collection sound once more. Go into Act 1 of Emerald Hill and press Start (+ on Switch, Options on PlayStation).

You'll notice X and Y values with a bunch of numbers in the top right corner of the screen. That's how you can tell if Debug Mode is on. To transform into an object simply hit Circle (B on Xbox, A on Switch). To select the Coin box, press the jump button five times. Triangles should be used to place these Coin boxes ( Y on Xbox, X on Switch). Place as many as you want, preferably in a line on the ground. After that, spin-dash past them all to see your Coin counter skyrocket.

Simply finish the level once you've harvested as many Coins as you like. After getting into Act 2, make sure all of the auto-saving is complete, then exit to the Sonic Origins main menu. You should keep all of the coins you received as a result of the Debug exploit! Hopefully, it won't be patched because this is a lot of fun to do.
